Year End Information on Quilt-A-Smile
2011 was filled with blessings, not only for those lives touched by one of our quilts, but also our quilters, who generously gave of their time and resources. They unanimously say "thank you, Lord, for the ministry You've given us."
At year end, we had nineteen regular quilters. We tracked the square footage of quilts made, based on market prices, and our total give away amount was $19,200 for 145 quilts.
Following is a list of 2011 quilt recipients:
Cancer Comfort Quilts
Roosevelt Elementary School
Community Donations
Medford Gospel Mission and Women's Shelter
Heart with a Mission
Medford Police Department
Veterans
Pregnancy Resource Center
Visiting Missionaries
Little Brother Pastor
Our District Superintendent
For 2012, things we know for sure is that we will be honoring and expressing gratitude to our church's WWII veterans by presenting them with a quilt of valor and that we will fulfill a request by the Asia Work & Witness team to make 26 quilts for the orphanage they will be ministering to.
Thank you for your help and support.
The scope of our ministry colors a broad area, touching the lives of many people which include veterans at the VA facility in White City, Pregnancy Crisis Center, battered families at the Dunn House, the Red Cross as requested, and comfort quilts for cancer patients.
We take this opportunity to thank so many of you who support us with fabrics, equipment, money donations, and prayer. We are a self supporting ministry and are constantly amazed at God's generous blessing to His ministry as well as the immeasurable blessings He brings to our personal lives.
If you have an interest in becoming a quilter, we promise enrichment and blessings in your life. We invite any woman or man quilter to join us (we know you're out there).
