Pastor Dave Slamp

Dave Slamp has served in pastoral ministries for more than 35 years. He has ministered in a wide range of capacities from Youth Pastor, Lead Pastor, as professor of pastoral ministries, and for the past 14 years as Associate Pastor of Small Groups and Adult Ministries. He has written, Small Groups That Work and CareRings: Sunday School and Small Groups Side by Side. He also authored the Spiritual Growth Survey, the Fruit of the Spirit Assessment and a 10 week small group study titled, Bearing Spiritual Fruit.

He is married to Kathy, who is founder of Vessel Ministries, a national writing and speaking ministries to women. She is author of Walking Through Life Without Stumbling Over Your Self, of Mastering Women’s Ministries, and You Might be a Pastor’s Wife…IF. In the summers Kathy speaks as a Naturalist for Princess Cruise Lines in Alaska, where she was raised, and she has written 5 books and produced two DVDs about Alaska. Dave & Kathy are parents of two grown children, Scott (married to Linda) and Dana. They have 2 grandsons.

Dave did his undergraduate work at Northwest Nazarene University, received his Masters at NTS, and earned his doctorate at Fuller Theological Seminary. He has spoken nationally at four regional Sunday school and leadership conferences in California, New York, Washington, and Kansas (BASS, NYSSA, NWMC, and KLASS) and consulted for many churches on small groups. He has also been keynote speaker at numerous District Sunday School Conventions. His heart is for deeper and authentic life transformation in small groups, and for discipleship of believers.
